Allison D. Tupper

President

Al Tupper is a professional engineer registered to practice in each of the four Atlantic provinces. He has conducted over 1,200 independent forensic engineering investigations for the insurance and legal communities, the police, government, and the private sector.

He has acted as special advisor to government agencies respecting oil refinery fires and explosions, the decommissioning and relocation of a major propane distribution plant, and construction disputes.

He has provided litigation support for plaintiff and defense counsel in both criminal and civil matters, and has presented expert testimony in the Federal Court of Canada and the Superior Courts of all the Atlantic provinces on over 80 occasions. Additionally, he has acted as an arbitrator and as witness in alternate dispute resolution matters.  

Al Tupper understudied the legendary G. N. "Jimmy" Kent, LL.B. P. Eng,. an engineer and lawyer who was one of the first to practice forensic engineering in Canada, and is co-editor and contributor to The Expert: A Practitioner’s Guide, Carswell, 1995.

 Gwen Houstoun


Gwen Houstoun is an administrative assistant with over 25 years experience. She has been with A. D. Tupper & Associates since October 1987.

She manages the routine affairs of the office and provides clerical and accounting services.
